Handmade gothic silver jewellery from Somerset. Hallmarked in London.Friend or Foe creates memento-mori inspired pieces — skulls, pearls, relics, sacred hearts and symbols of devotion — each carved, cast and finished entirely by hand. No mass production. No plated shortcuts. Every piece is forged slowly in the old way, a ritual in silver.
Friend or Foe is a small silver workshop in Somerset, shaped by fire, shadow, and the echo of old stories.
Our craft is guided by two figures who have never truly left the forge:
Wilde Gray — the brooding craftsman who worked the anvil by firelight, carving beauty out of metal and smoke.
Isabella de la Lune — the quiet artist at the workbench, shaping silver beneath candle-glow, her hands steady, her gaze lost in creation.
Their presence lingers still.
You see it in the way the light falls on the tools…
In the curl of smoke that moves when no one breathes…
In the shapes our silver chooses to become.
Today, their legacy continues through our hands.
Every piece is carved, cast, soldered, and finished slowly — the old way.
No factories. No mass production.
Just the ritual of silver, flame, and the stories that rise between them.
Handmade in Somerset.
Hallmarked in London.
A ritual in silver.
